Chapter 7.1
Chapter 7.1 Out with the old
Whilst Twix and Hershey were still at University, Cointreau decided it was time to retire. She was loaded enough as it was, so she saw no real logic to keep working up until the day she died.Aero also proposed to Adrianne.
They moved into a pleasant two bedroom house across the other side of town. Basically, far away enough so they knew that the family would not bother to visit until they had children.
Oh, and at some point Yorkie got taken away by the RSPCA. Mainly because Jeffrey kept using him as a foot towel.
Twix seemed to be the only one who cared about this. Even Cointreau, who had doted on Yorkie in the past, wondered why the food in the dog bowl was still full to the brim a month later.
As most families do, they adopted a new pet to replace the previous one. His name was Snowy and he was pretty much on his last legs, so the family made sure not to grow too attached to him.
For some strange reason, Snowy loved to dig holes. Very big human body sized holes.
This worked well for Twix and his garden, although he was a little bit concerned about the corpses ruining his crops.
Samuel McNeil, Bounty’s fancy man, moved in with the Baileys at some stage.
Upon discovering how crazy her family way, he quickly proposed to her so they could move out together.
They moved into this swanky little house very close to the city since they loved the night life.
And so, the only child who had not flown the nest yet was Hershey, which Twix did not mind since he thought his little brother was pretty awesome. However, with the departure of his two older siblings, he noticed his father exhibiting some rather strange behaviour.
Some very odd behaviour indeed…
…And no conveniently placed plate could hide this fact.
Twix sobbed when he realised, being heir and all, he would not be able to move out to escape this kind of trauma. At least, for the time being.
