Chapter 7.4 Double team
As promised, Hershey granted his older brother the air-time he deserved. Twix, being a smart cookie, utilized this time wisely and decided to take Whitney to a nearby lake; not to drown her, but to pop the question.
After much fumbling, he managed to open up the box and reveal the ultra sparkly engagement ring to Whitney, who had been waiting for his proposal pretty much since the day Hershey had proposed to Allyson.
Still, she managed to feign her surprise, and all in all, it was a pleasant engagement.
‘I like sparkly things,’ Whitney stated. She stood there staring at her engagement ring for the next five hours. Twix got bored after two hours and left her to it.
In the end, Twix and Hershey ended up having a double wedding. It was a practical idea considering how long wedding parties seem to take in the Sim world.
As expected, they wedded in the same location Cointreau and Jeffrey had, mainly because the scenery was fabulous for photographs. Naturally, Twix and Whitney were first to exchange vows, being the stars of this generation and all (well, for the time being).
‘Check us out, doing adult stuff!’
Aero was the only family member who held a small trace of resentment because he wished he could of had a fancy wedding.
Instead, all he got was a crappy off-camera notification.
Who this “close friend” was, no one knew, not even Aero.
Still, it was a beautiful ceremony. 
And most importantly, there was cake.
Earl, who was the only one still alive from generation 6, actually only showed up because of this.
Oh, and Allyson almost got married to the wrong guy, who happened to be Samuel McNeil.
He had split up with Bounty a few months ago, after finally finding out that she had deliberately stopped taking her contraceptive pill.
Fortunately, Hershey stepped in just in time and told Samuel where to stick it. 
And so, they were married and all were happy.
Well, all except for Tremayne as he managed to miss the weddings by -you guessed it- shorting-out after trying to down a bottle of tequila.
Bounty still managed to find the time to visit her family, unlike Aero. Although she was still only engaged to Samuel, with no wedding arrangements in sight, she accidentally stopped taking her pill and accidentally got pregnant. Twix was thrilled that he was going to be an Uncle as it meant more practice for his own children, when he eventually had them.
She ended up having a little boy, whom she called Nigel after the father from “The Wild Thornberrys”. 
As for Cointreau, she almost ceased to function for the next few weeks.
Twix seemed to be the only one who cared about this. Even Cointreau, who had doted on Yorkie in the past, wondered why the food in the dog bowl was still full to the brim a month later.
As most families do, they adopted a new pet to replace the previous one. His name was Snowy and he was pretty much on his last legs, so the family made sure not to grow too attached to him.
For some strange reason, Snowy loved to dig holes. Very big human body sized holes.
This worked well for Twix and his garden, although he was a little bit concerned about the corpses ruining his crops.
…And no conveniently placed plate could hide this fact.
Cointreau sure did know how to blackmail her husband into wearing his medical career uniform, purely for her own pleasure. This was pretty much an everyday occurrence, much to the dismay of everyone else in the family.
Twix masked out his parents’ strange fetishes by focusing on the things he loved the most, which included making potions and, more recently, camp night-time gardening.
‘Twix, I think she has…’
‘Perhaps I’ll gain a useful trait,’ 
All in all this was a grand day since there was cake involved.
And Hershey was obviously excited about becoming a teenager since he would be allowed to tamper with more dangerous stuff on his workbench.
Despite receiving bushy eyebrows, Hershey did not look too shabby, although due to constantly peering at his reflection in the scrap metal he had collected over the years, he grew up to become a bit of a snob.
Sadly, Hershey’s thirteenth birthday was not a great experience for Yorkie. Somehow, a larger dog had gatecrashed the party and decided to steal Yorkie’s stuff.
Their children were also growing up well. 
‘You’ll pick me, right?’ Bounty asked one day, when her siblings were in the other room singing karaoke.
Sometime later, Cointreau decided to prove she still possessed her friendly trait by throwing a swanky party for Twix’s transition into teenhood. Obviously, this was just another excuse to stuff her face with cake. Lots of cake.
Cointreau was pleased that at least one of her children had inherited pretty much all her features and spent most her time with Hershey.
Still, he transformed into a rather cute child. It also turned out that his hair was drity-blonde, not bleach blonde, so it did not look ridiculous against his dusky skin tone.
Aero decided that Twix was alright and started to treat him with a bit more respect, instead of mixing dog food with his Weetabix every morning.
A couple of years later, Bounty celebrated the anticipated step into teenhood.
Sadly, she grew up with a bit of a horse face. Still, it was likely a man, or a horse, would still find her attractive enough to marry one day.
Bounty scrubbed up well for a 
‘Luckily he wasn’t chosen to become the heir of this generation,’ Alice, the founder of this whole legacy, laughed. She had not made an appearance in a while, so thought it was about time she closed off a chapter for us. Thanks, Alice.
There were pretty much no blonde haired members in the Bailey family tree, so it was quite the mystery how Twix had ended up with such fair hair.
For a girl who was meant to be an evil genius, Cointreau was not 100% there all the time.
Eventually, Jeffery and Cointreau gave Tremayne another chance to prove his parenting ability.
This only lasted three days.
As for Bounty, the only girl of this generation so far, she had developed into an “OK” looking child with the potential to become an “alright” looking teenager.
The young girl was known as a bit of a drama queen, despite not physically possessing the trait. She had just learnt to be that way thanks to her mother.
Aero, now a teenager, was still pretty much into the same music related stuff. He also had oddly muscular arms.
All the better for playing the bass with, supposedly.
Anyways, the months continued to fly by, and as nature (and Jeffery intended), Cointreau fell pregnant once more. Still, this did not stop her from carrying out the “Bring Sally Up” chin-up challenge on a daily basis, determined that Aero would not have bigger guns than her.
It turned that she did not have to worry about this though as a few weeks later Aero started to try and win over a girl from his school called Adrianne Carpenter.
He used the same tactic Jameson had used in 
Surprisingly, Adrianne fell for this and found Aero to be both hilarious and endearingly sweet.
Soon enough, Aero decided to take the risk and swooped in gracefully to make his move.
However, Cointreau decided to be selfish and stole the attention away from Aero’s moment of glory by going into labour.
As was standard, Tremayne was given the task of looking after her whilst Cointreau and Jeffery attempted to progress in their desired careers.
Tremayne thought it would a be grand idea to take Bounty outside whilst it was raining to teach her how to walk. Consequently this was a rubbish idea seeing as electronics and water do not mix. It was three hours until Bounty was taken back indoors by Jeffery, who had returned from a late shift at work.
After that, Jeffery decided it would be safer for him to raise his own daughter, instead of entrusting her in the care of a mentally and emotionally unstable robot.
As for young Aero, he was pretty much capable of looking after himself. His parents were not around half the time due to their strange job hours, so he quickly learnt to survive by teaching himself to make waffles.
Aero was also very fond of music and often went around pretending his was a DJ. No doubt he would become yet another Bailey who would develop a musical orientated lifetime wish.
Jeffery was rather chuffed with the two children he had produced with Cointreau so far. One evening he suggested to Cointreau that they should add another baby to the brood.
‘Yeah, about that… I was hoping we could wait until at least Bounty was a teenager before we expanded, y’know?’ Cointreau explained, shuddering at the thought of being torn open once more.
‘Err, yeah, sure honey, I totally respect that…’
Naturally, she was not pleased.
Jeffery, on the other hand, was a smug git and boasted to Aero about his genius method of getting mummy pregnant. This traumatized the young boy, possibly for life.
She popped out another boy, who they called Twix since they figured they would keep up with the chocolate bar theme this generation. Once Cointreau was sewn back up, they headed back home to enjoy many more months
Two days later, she adopted an adorable Yorkshire terrier whom she named Yorkie. She quickly forgot all about whatever the old family dog was called and planned to train Yorkie to become her evil sidekick.
Time passed by. Cointreau went into labour, as do most women who are pregnant.
Despite working in the medical field, Jeffery found it hard to keep his composure.
Somehow, Jeffery drove Cointreau to hospital just in time for her to pop out their firstborn. They named him Aero since Cointreau was fond of the chocolate brand with the same name.
Cointreau only really took back ownership when it came around to Aero’s birthdays, primarily so she had an excuse to eat cake.
A few months down the line, Cointreau and Jeffery celebrated their transition into pure, but not so simple, adulthood.
He was such an embarrassment that even Aero found it awkward hanging out with him afterwards.
Sadly, Jeffery’s charm only worked to a certain extent and it was not enough to keep the repo man at bay. It was not as if they could not afford the bills, they were bordering on becoming millionaires after all, They had just forgotten to pay for the last installment of their recently installed hot-tub.
The repo man ended up taking one of their many computers.
And more devastatingly, a plate of autumn salad.
The expression on his face suggested that he got off on his job far more than he should.
She was unable to make it to the toilet in time however, so left her own nasty surprise all over the floor, which Jeffery later found, causing him to vomit instantly.
She spent most the night allowing Tremayne to spurt liquid all over her face.
Her party was certainly more epic than Jeffery’s stag do.
The stripper maids Earl had hired were not all that attractive, nor were they enthusiastic about their jobs.
Overall, they were not as awesome as the firemen and magacian that appeared at Cointreau’s hen night.
‘Boo!’ Jerry said, to reflect this.
Their actual wedding was lovely, and made a change from the traditional backyard weddings the last few generations had celebrated during the Sunlit Tides era.
‘We are now totally married,’ Cointreau said, patting Jeffery on the shoulder, as if he were a child who could barely comprehend things. 
Then they did the traditional cutting of the cake thing, whilst random strangers and gatecrashers stood round in hope they would be given a slice.
Sadly, for Cointreau, the cake did not go down to well.
And, well, it literally came back up.
As it turned out, Cointreau was actually pregnant, which was great news for this generation as it had almost reached the halfway point, in relation to chapters.
Unfortunately, with most chapters, this one would not end happily. A few months after the wedding and pregnancy revelation, old Grimmy made an appearance in the kitchen, but not to serve breakfast.
Pooka gazed back at the cloaked figure standing before him, clearly not able to comprehend the situation, being a dog and all that jazz.
‘Aw, come here and give us a hug!’ The Grim Reaper cooed, realising just how fluffy and awesome looking this dog was.
Pooka’s eyes lit up and he galloped into Grimmy’s arms, quite literally.
‘Ok, enough of that. Fetch, boy, fetch!’
And so, for the third time in Pooka’s life, he flew up into the ceiling, only this time into a green vortex which hopefully led to some sort of afterlife and not everlasting torture or a world with no cake (which is pretty much the same thing in all honesty).
‘Nooo! Pooka was the only family member who truly understood me!’ Tremayne sobbed when he walked in, just in time to see Pooka’s arse disappear through the portal. ‘Please, bring him back!’
