Roly Poly (Part 2)

Throughout Uni, Niki and I remained as strong as ever.Screenshot-12257 We often got scolded at by our roommates for frolicking about in the bathroom. Screenshot-12254Orion was one of these people, that was until he suddenly gained an interest in his physical fitness after he had struggled to unscrew a jar of pickles one evening (Niki had to assist him).  After that he was always either in the gym, or at the Student Union studying.Screenshot-12252After my experience with Elvis, I had distanced myself from making any real friends. Niki had become good friends with Tiffany, a sweet, but sometimes air-headed girl from her course.  She was a pro when it came to pulling off the duck face.  Orion and I quickly warmed to her.  Screenshot-12273Before long, the four of us started hanging out together to eat or study in the brightly coloured dorm kitchen.  Screenshot-12331‘What are you cooking for us tomorrow, Rolo?’ Tiffany asked, cradling a greasy slice of leftover pizza in her hand.  We had a cooking arrangement, which pretty much no one ever stuck to, apart from me and Orion.Screenshot-12338‘I’m not sure Tiff, perhaps you should consider cooking us up something for once,’ I half-joked.Screenshot-12336‘I don’t think that’s a good idea,’ Orion promptly reminded everyone.Screenshot-12332A few months back, I had been sitting indoors with the others, catching up on some coursework when Tiffany poked her head around the kitchen door and said nervously that she was having trouble with grilling the hot-dogs on the BBQ outside.

Thinking she was merely having issues with switching on the grill, I followed her outside.  Unfortunately, the problem was far worse than I anticipated.Screenshot-12451‘How did you manage to catch the bloody BBQ on fire?’ I asked, not impressed.   I had no idea such a feat was possible, especially with an electric grill.  As it turned out, she had added fuel to the base of the BBQ, then had lit it up with a lighter.      Screenshot-12433The flames continued to burn out of control.  Tiffany had the cheek to faint on me whilst  I tried to extinguish them.  Fortunately, no one died, so all was well.Screenshot-12454Of course it meant I was the one stuck with making dinner that night, since Tiffany was feeling too “woozy”.Screenshot-12455‘I think Niki should cook for once,’ Orion decided as he chewed contently on his pizza slice.Screenshot-12339If you want me to end up poisoning everyone, then sure,’ Niki laughed, not even looking up from her tablet.Screenshot-12347The following day, Niki and I were playing beer pong in the communal garden.  We clearly had nothing better to do with ourselves.Screenshot-12405‘Graduation’s only a few weeks away.  We need to throw a party to celebrate, see everyone off in style!’ Niki decided. Somehow, that girl could be more of a party animal than me.  Screenshot-12403‘I think you’re forgetting that I was almost arrested the last time we threw a huge party, Niki…’Screenshot-12406Yes indeed, that had been an interesting night.Screenshot-12399Mr. Officer clearly hadn’t been a fan of our music.Screenshot-12398We ended up being fined, and the party flopped like a fish out of water.Screenshot-12390‘That was hiliarious,’ Niki laughed. ‘Come on though, I think that only had something to do with us blasting One Direction at ear-splitting volume.  It won’t happen again, especially if you provide the entertainment with your guitar instead.’   Screenshot-12404Alas, I threw in the towel and decided one more party wouldn’t hurt, particularly to celebrate the end of our exams and coursework.Screenshot-12462I put my guitar skills to good use that night.  And no, I didn’t get arrested, sorry to disappointment anyone.Screenshot-12464Graduation day rocked by too quickly.  Somehow, I passed my degree with a 2:1.Screenshot-12540Screenshot-12536It was a very emotional day.Screenshot-12541Obviously, Orion ended up with a first.Screenshot-12532As did Niki, the smart alec.Screenshot-12543I was very proud of her, and elated we could finally return home and start our own legacy.  Preferably under the same roof I had grown up in.Screenshot-12550Sadly, with my brain-box half-brother, Basil, to compete with, I knew it wouldn’t be easy.  Screenshot-12552

Malibu’s Muse (Part 1)

Malibu’s Muse (Part 1)

The beauty of the world never ceases to amaze me, even on a freezing cold day on the University campus.  Maybe it’s just my artistic nature which draws me towards the small things which others may overlook.Screenshot-2343Art was just one of things I’d always enjoyed and it was my way of expressing things.Screenshot-2215Being a triplet, I made sure to  establish my individuality at a young age.  That’s where my interest in cats came about (I had always admired their independent and proud natures).  I couldn’t stop Amaretto or Jameson from going to same University as me, however, and to be honest it was comforting to know they were always nearby.Screenshot-2203My older brother, Murphy, was in his final year by the time we had started our first.  Somehow, despite juggling his relationship with Margaret Cade with the ever-growing demand of his degree, he was on track to graduating with first class honors Screenshot-2266Obviously being the wise older sibling, he even gave me some very constructive advice when I revealed to him my very first University crush.

‘Don’t go out with Steve, he’s a dick.Screenshot-2449Truth was, I was somewhat attracted to the bad boys; be it jocks, rebels or nerds (yes, you can get bad nerds!), being a bit of a rebel myself.  Screenshot-2243Of course I had a sensitive side to.  Between classes and my art projects, I often wandered the University grounds, exploring the endless sights it had to offer. Screenshot-2284I remember one day when I bumped into one of the not too bad looking Chinese exchange students, who looked a little bit lost.Screenshot-2287Sadly he barely spoke or understood a word of English.  I’m not sure how he had even gotten on the exchange student program, or how he was managing to cope with his classes.  Screenshot-2289The thing that depressed me was that Mum had started dating Dad at high school when they were both fifteen or so.  I’d anticipated the same sort of thing would’ve happen to me, but it seemed that times had changed since my parents were young.  Perhaps it was just as well because I would have let the event, which occurred the following morning, slip by without a moments notice. Screenshot-2242I was sat in the mess halls, chewing away at a couple of waffles I had conjured up using my “pro” cooking skills. Screenshot-2250‘Mind if I have some?’ A deep velvet voice asked.  I knew who it was without having to take a glance.  Aaron Matthews; he actually lived in the same dormitory as me and was studying Physical Education, if you couldn’t tell by his six-pack.  Until then we had never really spoken, mostly because he was known to be a party animal so was rarely home when I was.

Realising he was referring to the stack of waffles in the center of the table, I nodded and mumbled through a mouthful for him to help himself.  Scraping back the chair besides me, Aaron sat down and filled up his empty plate and started to munch away. Screenshot-2251As we sat next to each other eating my waffles (oo err) in a comfortable silence, in nothing more than our night-wear, I was certain that this was the start of something most beautiful.Screenshot-2252

Chapter 3.10

Chapter 3.10 – It’s tricky

It was still snowing on the day of the twins’ graduation.Screenshot-863Irish was apprehensive as she was certain she had left the oven switched on back at home.Screenshot-862Still, the girls looked as lovely as ever in their graduation caps and gowns.Screenshot-866Particularly Coco, who was just thrilled to be standing out in the freezing cold as they all waited to be let into the building.Screenshot-865Tremayne found a way to keep himself occupied.  It was all well and good, until the snow melted and got into his circuits, almost killing him.   Screenshot-867A few days later, Cookie, who was still over staying his welcome, finally decided to pop the question to Thelma.  Screenshot-893She was amazed that he even could afford a fancy ring, considering he did not even had a job.  Well, he did sell pictures he painted, but that is not a real and stable income now, is it? Screenshot-895Coco was focusing hard on raising her athletic skill up, in the most fun ways possible.  She was a big fan of the computer game series “SSX”, so it seemed fitting that she took up the sport during winter time, a time where no one really wanted to slave away in the gym.Screenshot-875‘Wheeeee!’ Screenshot-876However, Coco soon discovered that there was in fact a gym room back at her house, so, with the help of Tremayne, started to workout there as well.   Screenshot-898‘I’m finally getting the hang of this running thing!’ Coco happily exclaimed.Screenshot-899Unfortunately, Tremayne begged to differ.Screenshot-897The next morning Coco ached all over and could not make it out of her room, due to the agony she was in.  It seemed young Coco had quite a way to go before she would achieve her lifetime wish of physical perfection.  Screenshot-896

Chapter 3.8

Chapter 3.8 – Kicking it up a notch

By the time Irish was old (aka in her fifties), she had achieved her lifetime wish of becoming the greatest five-star chef, ever.  She celebrated by having a lime sorbet, in the company of Admiral the gnome, whom she had stolen from France. Screenshot-777Cookie also had something to celebrate.  His graduation, which none of his family appeared to really show any interest in.Screenshot-780He was chuffed, however, to find out that one of his cousins (Minty’s daughter), called Megan, was also a ginger.  He had not seen her in years, so had forgotten.   Screenshot-782Soon it was Autumn and Coco decided to visit the Harvest Festival.  The rest of the family gave it a miss because they were hooked on the Dexter box set Stacey had got for his birthday.

After a brief look around, Coco decided to try her luck in a pie eating contest.Screenshot-786It was the most degrading thing she had ever participated in.Screenshot-787And she still lost.Screenshot-788She also gave apple bobbing a go.Screenshot-792Moments after this picture was taken, Coco almost accidentally drowned.Screenshot-791Finally, she braved the haunted house.  It was filled with stairs, slides, mazes, oh and scary things of course.  By the time she had managed the find the exit, it was the next day, and she was absolutely knackered, much to her dismay.  Coco had always seen herself as being ultra fit, so it was a shock to the system.  Screenshot-784So, she decided to take up mixed martial arts, since she was a fan of kung-fu movies and the such.  Screenshot-797With the use of YouTube videos, and plenty of classes, Coco quickly progressed up the ranks, seemingly gaining a new belt every day.  Screenshot-796Screenshot-798Screenshot-799The spirits of Alice, Ricky and Pippy were so pleased with Coco and her apparent martial arts ability that they even came out to party in the garden, on the night Coco gained her first sparring trophy.Screenshot-727Coco was grateful that her ancestors were proud of her.  Since it was apparent she was going to be the heiress for the next generation.Screenshot-801She hoped that when it was her time to take over the Bailey legacy that she would not fade in distance once she started her own family, much like Irish had over the last several chapters…

Chapter 2.8

Chapter 2.8 – No hard feelings?

Irish Bailey was relieved when it was finally time to graduate from culinary school. She was more than eager to start working to become one of the greatest chefs ever, and to play with fire in the safety of her own house.  Screenshot-402Unfortunately, her eagerness got the better of her and the rest of the family were not best pleased to find the graduation hall on fire by the time they arrived to congratulate Irish.  Screenshot-403Irish managed to avoid going to jail by baking a delicious fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches for the judge and jury.  Instead, she was given a slap on the wrist and a lecture about why fire is dangerous and bad.Screenshot-447A few months later, Minty proposed to Federico after they had attended a Twilight film-fest at their local cinema.       Screenshot-396Federico did indeed “sqwee” like a fangirl (both at the proposal, and during the films).Screenshot-397Soon they were wedded and moved out of the Bailey household to start their own family and all that stuff.  Yes, family.  She was pregnant in this picture, not fat.Screenshot-432Being weighed down with the responsibility of carrying on the Bailey legacy, Irish decided that it was time to tackle her own demons, so she stole a questionable looking orange potion from Fudge’s chemistry creations collection.

‘So, if you drink this potion it’ll make anything you touch turn into fire,’ Irish lied as she handed it over to Crissy, her imaginary friend based of her childhood doll, who often encouraged her pyromaniac tendencies. Screenshot-443‘Sweet, I could burn me some kittens’ Crissy replied, before she gulped it down.

There was a puff of smoke and sparkles, Crissy spluttered and choked as the acidic liquid began to burn her insides.  Irish grinned wickedly… until, before her very eyes, Crissy started to morph into a human being, with real skin and everything.  Screenshot-444Irish’s jaw was still wide open even after the transformation had finished and Crissy was admiring her new body.  Once she had finished squeezing her new breasts, Crissy stared up at Irish wide-eyed and with a creepy puppet-like smile on her pudding shaped face.

‘I guess you weren’t expecting this happen?’ Crissy spoke in a low, eerie tone.

Slowly, Irish shook her head.

‘You were hoping the potion was going to kill me, weren’t you?’ Crissy’s voice remained the same as did her terrifying  facial expression.

Irish slowly nodded her head as an expression of unease appeared across her face.

‘No hard feelings though, right?’ Irish laughed, a very awkward laugh.Screenshot-445Crissy continued to stare at Irish, her eyes boring into Irish’s very soul.

‘Bitch, I’m going to murder you in your sleep.’Screenshot-446‘Shit,’ said Irish.
