Razzle Basil (Part 2)

Up until my final year at University, I had never been in a fight in my entire life.Screenshot-12975It’s amazing how quickly that can change, particularly when a guy tries to hit on your girlfriend. Old Scott wasn’t expecting me to confront him inside the Student Union.  I suppose that’s why he almost wet himself.Screenshot-12977‘You didn’t have to do it,’ Tia sighed as she messily chewed on her spag bol. ‘I handled myself pretty well when he tried to chat me up.’Screenshot-13097I almost choked on my own plate of food (thankfully I had just swallowed the final mouthful).

‘Tia, the creep tried to grope you!’Screenshot-13093‘You’re not worth the effort,’ Scott had said, when I had requested he fight me then and there. ‘Tia deserves a better man, you know?’Screenshot-12988As he turned his back on me, I saw red.  The next I knew, I was grappling with him, trying my hardest to place my hands around his stupid neck.  He fought back, hard.Screenshot-12979He made a valiant effort to defend himself, until my knee drove heavily into his lower back.  There was a sharp cracking sound, followed by a howl of pain.Screenshot-12984Whatever I had caused him, I hoped it had inflicted some lasting damage.Screenshot-12983‘I don’t like it when you’re aggressive, even if its just to protect me,’ Tia revealed.  I arched my eyebrows in confusion.

‘Then how do you suggest I fight off the men who try and touch you up?’ I asked.Screenshot-13096‘You don’t need to.  I had already dealt with him with a swift kick to the meat and two veg.’Screenshot-13098Naturally, we threw a rocking masquerade party to celebrate that revelation.Screenshot-13039In all honesty, despite I was obviously amazed that Tia was a kickass young lady, I was secretly impressed that I had got away with almost breaking someone’s back.  I would have assumed that kind of behaviour could have got me kicked out of University, or worse, thrown in jail.  It made me think that I could perhaps get away with a bit more than that in the future.Screenshot-13032Our final results came around quicker than I anticipated.Screenshot-13107I ended up scraping my way through with a 2:1.Screenshot-13110Tia was surprised she had achieved a 2:2, despite she had flunked her final few assignments (it turned out that a Technology degree is hard as balls).Screenshot-13112She was so eager to receive her diploma that she forgot to wear her cap and gown on the big day. Screenshot-13123I was polite enough to lend her my gown when she inevitably became cold.Screenshot-13131‘Where do we go from here?’ Tia asked later that day, when we were sitting in the snow, freezing our arses off.Screenshot-13099‘Well…’ I slid closer to her side.  I tilted my head up to the sky, her eyes following suit.

‘The world is ours to do as we please.  Let’s make a difference.’Screenshot-13100And also see what other crimes we can get away with…  My thoughts whispered.

Pistachio’s Nuts (Part 2)

Pistachio’s Nuts (Part 2)

The plan to win back Nicole’s affections was flawless. First of all, I cut down on being a dick.  Second, she loved dancing; I’d seen her go crazy on several nights out – mostly grinding against other guys to try and make me jealous.  Problem was, although I was physically fit, I had two left feet when it came to dancing and always resorted to that awkward swaying thing people do, instead of risking breaking a limb. Therefore, using a thing called the internet, I started my hunt for the best dancer on campus. Screenshot-10426Unfortunately, I had grown addicted to this game called The Peeps, where you create your own little virtual people and stick them in house, then either drown, starve or set them on fire, so I soon forgot about my quest.Screenshot-10425Luck would have it, however, one of my roommates was a decent dancer, and she was willing to teach me.       Screenshot-10421And I thought I was doing pretty good, considering my foot condition.Screenshot-10420‘You’ve got a long way to go,’ she sighed, ‘maybe we should learn something simpler.’Screenshot-10424Many dance lessons later, I gatecrashed one of Nicole’s pool parties.  She was not best pleased, but I managed to convince her that I could convince her that I was a better man.Screenshot-10432I figured things could go no worse than when we had crossed paths a month or so after the whole hot-tub incident. ‘How about I take you inside and warm you up?’ I had purred into her ear.Screenshot-10413‘I’d rather choke to death on toilet paper,’  came her response.Screenshot-10414That was a dark day indeed.Screenshot-10415This time, I was confident my plan would work. ‘What are you doing?’ Nicole asked as I reached out and placed her hands in mine.Screenshot-10433‘I’ll be your domestic King,’ I proposed, ‘I’ve even learnt how to clean and everything.’Screenshot-10434‘Also, I didn’t intend for that to rhyme…’Screenshot-10427‘Err, ok, but you’re still a douche-bag,’  Nicole ever-so-bluntly stated.Screenshot-10436‘I beg to differ,’ I replied.  ‘I’ve actually also took the time to learn how to make the best waffles in the world.’Screenshot-10440‘Seriously, they’re rather delicious!’Screenshot-10465Placing my arms on her waist, I told her to follow my lead as we started dancing a crazy combination of the waltz and a drunken walrus.  Soon enough, we got the hang of it and it was rather pleasant being that close to her.Screenshot-10445‘You’re definitely the strangest guy I’ve ever met,’ Nicole sighed, drawing her lips close to mine.  Then we kissed, and quite honestly my brain shutdown after that.Screenshot-10446‘If you hurt me, I’ll make sure you suffer.’  Those were the sweet words that sealed the deal.  Ok, then my brain shutdown.Screenshot-10437Despite this, somehow, I ended up with first in my degree.Screenshot-10510 Screenshot-10511I was pretty chuffed to say the least.Screenshot-10516Nicole did well too, achieving a 2:1.  I teased her that she missed out on a first because of all the rubbish parties she threw.Screenshot-10522She withdrew sex for almost two weeks.  It was a very dark time.Screenshot-10524Before we left University forever, there was one more thing we had to do.Screenshot-10492‘I’m pretty sure we could get arrested for trespassing,’ I stated, staring down at the hot tub that had tried to bring us together in the past, but had failed miserably.Screenshot-10489‘They’ll have to catch us first,’ Nicole mentioned.Screenshot-10490‘That’s my girl!’Screenshot-10493Sinking into the warmth of the hot tub, completely naked, I sighed out in bliss.  To think this whole thing has been Nicole’s idea. Screenshot-10496‘Get over here, you!’Screenshot-10499Screenshot-10503‘You know, I really love you, army boy,’ Nicole cooed.  Usually such mushiness would have made me vomit, but since we were in a hot tub, that wouldn’t have been a good shout.Screenshot-10506Locking lips, I decided I could get used to spending the foreseeable future with this lovely lady; even if her parties were a little bit naff.Screenshot-10505

Maple’s Story (Part 2)

Maple’s Story (Part 2)

At the best of times I was unable to hide my frustrations, and this time I had a reasonable excuse.Screenshot-10177The odds of having Cory as a roommate were possibly as slim as being attacked by a pack of rabid wolves in a library, but sure enough I was subjected to the torment of having to see his charming face everyday during my final year, usually attached to the face of a pretty skinny girl.Screenshot-10176I wasn’t jealous or bitter or anything: I’d tried a fair bit of dating myself.  Sadly, I only seemed to attract the clingy geeky types.Screenshot-10193‘I have the entire box-set of the original Star Trek, you should come over so we can…’Screenshot-10192‘….Noooooo.’Screenshot-10195Screenshot-10196Truthfully, I felt bad about the guys I’d turned down: I was rather geeky myself and had always wanted to watch the entirety of the original Star Trek series.Screenshot-10214I realised I just needed to find the right guy to do it with. Screenshot-10215And it seemed the right guy was still out of my reach.  Cory had done his best to ignore me for the entire term, although I hadn’t exactly made an effort to talk to him either.  However, on the day before my graduation, we passed each other in the hallway of our dorms for one final time.Screenshot-10239‘Good luck tomorrow, Mape,’ Cory announced, several moments after we had crossed paths.         Screenshot-10238I spent the remainder of that evening in the comic book store, pretending that Cory hadn’t spoken to me, heart drumming frantically against my ribs.Screenshot-10237I had my graduation to worry about the following day, after all, and I couldn’t afford to obsess over the guy who had broken my heart.Screenshot-10235Luckily, that all went smoothly, unlike Almond’s graduation day, where she almost missed the ceremony due to there being a massive crowd outside.Screenshot-10282Later, I returned to the dorms with a smile on my face, proud I had managed to graduate with first class honors.Screenshot-10297‘How did it go?’ A deep voice asked.Screenshot-10294Turning around sharply, my heart sunk when I realised who those words belonged to.  Cory was holding a stack of plates, they wobbled in his hand slightly as he made his way across to the sink; I was convinced he was about to drop them.Screenshot-10296Pursuing him, I tried to answer his question before the atmosphere turned too awkward.  But, when he edged by me after washing up the final plate I realised I had left it too long.Screenshot-10301‘Listen, Cory, I don’t want things to be funny between us.’  Nice start, Maple, my thoughts teased.   Screenshot-10312‘I’ve spent the last several months trying to think of the right thing to say to you,’ I continued, ‘and well, that hasn’t worked out so well.  So now I’m…’  Cory interrupted my ramblings, thankfully.Screenshot-10313‘Why do you think I’ve been trying to make small talk?’Screenshot-10316A girlish giggle rose from my throat.  All this time, we were both just searching for the right words to say to one another.  If only we’d known sooner.Screenshot-10318For the next several minutes we reminisced on the drunken times we had experienced, before our fatal one night stand.

‘I missed talking to you,’ Cory ended up confessing.Screenshot-10319There was a heavy silence; we gazed at one another, unsure where this moment was heading.  I could hear the loud voices and laughter of our roommates and a few other students coming from outside as they larked around in the hot-tub.  Suddenly, something inside me snapped.Screenshot-10320 Screenshot-10321‘You know what, you really have some nerve!’ I growled at Cory, all my resentment for him pouring out, like raindrops crashing down from the sky.   Screenshot-10327‘I’ve waited over a year for an apology, and now you’re trying to breeze over things like nothing happened!  Well guess what?  You’ve blown your chance, mister, and…’     Screenshot-10329‘I’ve got the entire box-set of the original Star Trek in my room,’ Cory announced.Screenshot-10325‘Wanna go watch?’Screenshot-10326With that, I forgot all about why I disliked Cory; at least temporarily.Screenshot-10293 We did end up watching Star Trek, but I probably shouldn’t have slept with him again that evening, but I did, and naturally he was gone by the morning.  A year later- after his graduation- Cory did end up moving to Setra, but unfortunately not to be with me.  A career opportunity presented itself, which he couldn’t turn down.  However, with him living in close proximity, something was bound to happen between us…

Almond’s Credentials (Part 2)

 Almond’s Credentials (Part 2)

Despite being my older sister, Maple was someone I always had to keep an eye on.Screenshot-10017Most people found her tricky to read, but I was always aware when she was feeling troubled, which seemed to more than often whilst we were at Uni together.Screenshot-10016Screenshot-10025As much as she annoyed me sometimes, I couldn’t help feeling worried. Screenshot-10026Gary and I were still going strong, I felt lucky to have him as my rock.  I could sense Maple wanted to experience the same sort of thing, however her luck with guys never seemed to last.Screenshot-9871One day, when we were gaming on the computers in the comic book shop, I came up with a valid suggestion.Screenshot-10041‘Ever thought about online dating?’Screenshot-10043‘F*** off, Almond.’Screenshot-10042So that’s when Plan B came into play, which I devised whilst working on my dissertation.Screenshot-9967The plan went live on the night of my graduation, during a costume party I had persuaded Maple to arrange.  By the time I had returned home, after some celebratory drinks with a few fellow graduates, the house was fairly quiet apart from a few people still lingering in the kitchen.  Maple wasn’t anywhere in sight, and nor was Cory, the guy she fancied like mad, which I could only assume was a good thing.Screenshot-10117As my eyes scanned the bookshelf for a good intellectual book to curl up on the sofa with before bed, I couldn’t help but gloat to myself at how much of an awesome match maker I was.

‘Almond, slight problem.’ Maple’s voice interrupted my thoughts.  In that single moment, my pride came crashing down and was stamped on as she told me what had occurred whilst I’d been out downing vodka and cranberries.Screenshot-10114‘I bumped into Cory in the bathroom,’ Maple spoke in a haunted tone.  My heart still jumped in excitement.  They hadn’t properly interacted since their one night stand several months ago- Cory was usually quick to leave the room if she had entered it.  This was why I hoped this party would force them back together, particularly by deliberately barricading off the downstairs bathroom so everyone would be forced to use the one upstairs, or least help them made amends.Screenshot-10116Apparently Maple had outright confessed to Cory that they should get over their drunken blunder and start their friendship anew.  Cory agreed, a little too quickly according to Maple.Screenshot-10106Then, she stepped in to hug him, a way to seal the deal, she explained.  That was when he pushed her away, much to her dismay.Screenshot-10108‘I asked him what was wrong.’Screenshot-10110‘The expression on his face said it all,’ Maple sighed.Screenshot-10113‘He had changed his mind in the space of three seconds.  Apparently even the thought of being friends is weird after what happened.  Also, he admitted that I’m not his type.’Screenshot-10112I stood there dumbfounded.  I didn’t understand how things had backfired so spectacularly.  Cory had seemed enthusiastic about attending the party when I had invited him on Maple’s behalf .Screenshot-10120Suddenly, everything clicked into place and I felt stupid for not realising the truth sooner.  I didn’t have the heart to explain it all to Maple, but it was quite obvious who Cory’s type was.Screenshot-10119‘Oh, and another thing…’ Maple spoke cautiously. ‘I’ve kind of broken one of the sinks in the bathroom.’Screenshot-10115And so I spent the early hours of the morning fixing that sink to avoid us being fined by the University, and possibly having my degree revoked. Screenshot-10013After that night I made a promise that the sink would be the last thing I would fix for Maple.  Even though she was my sister, I knew it would be impossible to keep trying to repair her broken relationships.  That job was purely down to her.

Hershey’s Kisses (Part 2)

Hershey’s Kisses (Part 2)

University soon became the same old routine.  My typical weekend was spent studying with Twix whilst we lounged about in our underwear, as brothers do.  We were hardcore like that.Screenshot-8494was studying for a degree in technology, so I had to prove I knew a thing or two.  One of my lecturers just loved to make us do presentations, pretty much every week, so I soon became rather awesome at public speaking.Screenshot-8435Between all this, I spent time with Allyson whenever I had a spare moment, although frustratingly we had barely gone further than kissing, after almost six months together.  Naturally, I was looking to change this, particularly after knowing the sort of wild and kinky stuff Twix got up to with Whitney.Screenshot-8451One snowy day, I brought the subject up, as casually as I could.Screenshot-8446‘If you can find somewhere around here, I’ll do it with you.’

‘That’s easy,’ I said, eyes peering over at the University building next to us.  Allyson slowly shook her head, and I arched an eyebrow in bemusement.

‘It can’t be within University property,’ she explained, eyes twinkling.Screenshot-8449I took her words as an actual challenge and used two simple tools; my creativity and the snow to meet her criteria.Screenshot-8439It took a couple of hours to build, but it was totally worth it and Allyson was genuinely impressed with the result.Screenshot-8441And so, I finally lost my virginity, in an igloo of all places.Screenshot-8454Was I smug?  Just a little…  It was definitely worth it for the frostbite.Screenshot-8464I must have done a good job because Allyson actually stayed with me throughout the rest of my University days.Screenshot-8514And through all that I learnt one valuable lesson…       Screenshot-8528Nailing a first was certainly easier than trying to nail Allyson.Screenshot-8537

Twix’s Mix (Part 2)

Twix’s Mix (Part 2)

As the months went by, Hershey and I managed to maintain our brotherly bond, despite our mum insisting that it was impossible for any siblings to stay close forever.  I guess she was just bitter because it had been a while since she had saw her sisters and brother.Screenshot-8416I was determined to stay close to Hershey, and to look out for him along the way.Screenshot-8381There were a few people I did not trust at University.  Allyson Robins was one of those.  Not particular a looker, but undeniably clever, somehow she had managed to win over Hershey’s heart.  I did not like her one bit.Screenshot-8380‘You really need to start considering taking up some form of exercise.  Hershey’s started running with me and it’s doing his body wonders!’ Screenshot-8377Her bluntness was one of the reasons why I could not stand her.Screenshot-8378Still, Hershey was very much in love with her, so there wasn’t much I could do to convince him to find someone better.  Instead, I just tried to keep him away from her as much as possible.  I even suggested we should team up together to work on a joint-project for extra credit.Screenshot-8407‘Enough of the geek talk, bro, we’ll sort out the proposal for the project on Friday.  Now tell me, what are your plans for Whitney’s birthday tomorrow?’Screenshot-8408‘Oh shit!’ I gasped as I came to the horrific conclusion that I had completely forgotten to buy her a present, and that the shops were only open for another half an hour.Screenshot-8424Fortunately we got there in time, and I managed to find the ideal present, a new pair of earrings which she never wore despite saying she loved them.  I guess it also didn’t change the fact I was an awful boyfriend at times.Screenshot-8426Still, Hershey and I continued to work hard together to ensure our project was a singing success.Screenshot-8467Screenshot-8468And after, as Hershey went off to party, I took a well deserved rest in the hot tub.Screenshot-8484A couple of months later the results were in, and I was the first of this generation to achieve a first class degree.Screenshot-8525Holding up my diploma up high and proud, I vowed to work hard upon my return to Setra, and do my best to carry the torch of the Bailey legacy through another generation.Screenshot-8541With Whitney, obviously.Screenshot-8522

Bounty’s Hunt (Part 2)

Bounty’s Hunt (Part 2)

Life continued on as normal at University.  I even started to dabble in cooking, although this was usually only after consuming a few drinks, but was still the only one sober enough to use the BBQ without harming anyone, or myself.Screenshot-7889Things with Nathaniel hadn’t turned out as anticipated, mainly because he turned out to be a bit of a creeper who invented any excuse to see me in my (rather awesome feathered) bikini.Screenshot-7893Still, we often spent our time together with a couple of other friends, listening to tunes and gossiping in the hot tub.  Of course the topic of sex or nudity would often crop up, usually in relation to my pretty bad tendency to strip off when drunk.  Screenshot-7892One night, Nathaniel commented that I wouldn’t have the guts to go skinny dipping.   In hindsight I guess it was his ploy to see me naked, but I couldn’t say no to a challenge.Screenshot-7891As I whipped my bikini off, the look on his face was priceless, like he’d never seen a naked girl before.  Of course, he wasn’t man enough to strip off himself, in fact, he and the others ran back to the dorm with my bikini and towel cradled in their arms, laughing like hyenas.Screenshot-7890I didn’t give a damn, however.  The tub was so warm and cozy, and I was still a little bit tipsy.  Staying there all night wouldn’t have been an issue.Screenshot-7852‘Bounty!’ A familiar voice greeted.  Peering up, a mix of disappointment and anger flowed through my veins when I saw Samuel’s smug face staring down at me.Screenshot-7855‘Get the fuck out of here,’ I sighed, closing my eyes once more.Screenshot-7859Hearing his shoes scuffing against the grass, I assumed he had turned to leave like I’d suggested.  That was why I immediately opened my eyes when I heard the sound of flies unzipping, and almost drowned right there and then when it dawned on me he was taking off his clothes.  Once fully nude, he crouched down and clambered into the water.Screenshot-7857During all this, I openly checked out his body, muscular and toned, as expected for a police officer really.  Then I reminded myself that he was an arsehole, and a slimy one at that.Screenshot-7860‘Listen, I’m sorry for being a dick.  I didn’t know you that well back then… actually, I didn’t know myself.’   Screenshot-7862‘Please, stop with the bullshit already,’ I sighed, standing up and ushering him along a seat so I could sit back down beside him.  I didn’t care that I had given him an eyeful, he’d seen it all before. ‘I’m not going to be your rebound just because your girlfriend’s dumped you or whatever.’Screenshot-7864‘How many apologies is it going to take?’ Samuel asked.

Now thinking about it, this had to be at least his fifth attempt of making amends.  Fifteenth perhaps if all the Facebook messages were applicable.  He didn’t seem like too much of a bad guy.  Maybe I was being a bit harsh…Screenshot-7865‘What will it take?’ He eventually asked.

‘Would you run to the bathroom naked to grab me a towel?’ I proposed, curious to see how far he would go to win back my trust.

‘Of course, even if I had to satisfy a pack of jocks to get to it,’ Samuel revealed, carrying out an accompanying gesture.Screenshot-7878‘I think I may be starting to forgive you a bit,’ I confessed, sliding my arm across his shoulder.  ‘But only just a bit.’Screenshot-7868Now, please, don’t judge me.  I’d now seen what Samuel was “packing” underneath his uniform, plus he had the guts to do what Nathaniel was afraid of.  I figured he would leave once he got what he wanted, but, to my surprise, it didn’t turn out that way.Screenshot-7869Several months later, I graduated, not with first class honors, but a with a well-earned upper second class degree.Screenshot-7901Samuel was still by my side.Screenshot-7907He promised to make arrangements to come live with me in Setra, although I would have to wait until my brother and Adrianne moved out as there was a distinct lack of space in our household.Screenshot-7910I wasn’t worried about him hurting me again.  He’d heard about my family, our history, so I think he realised he’d be a bit of a moron to ever do anything to upset them.Screenshot-7909

Aero Dynamic (Part 2)

Aero Dynamic (Part 2)

Knuckling down proved to be quite a challenge.  Some subject matters were more difficult to grasp than others.Screenshot-7558Musical theory was one of these topics.Screenshot-7561It was also slightly off putting having your girlfriend sat besides you snoring away.Screenshot-7563To keep my brain ticking over between classesI used the handyman skills I had picked up from my youngest brother, Hershey, to start up a little laptop repair company to make a bit of cash; you’d be surprised with how many students end up with broken laptops.Screenshot-7529Of course, I couldn’t rule out having a bit of genuine fun once in a while.  After passing my mid-term exams, I threw a masquerade party to celebrate.Screenshot-7592And partly as an excuse to show off my guitar skills.Screenshot-7580I also made sure to spend quality time with Adrianne since I’d been a bit of a rubbish boyfriend in the past.   Beer pong was one of our favourite activities whenever we wanted to unwind.Screenshot-7686I enjoyed it, purely because I usually won nine times out of ten.Screenshot-7685This annoyed Adrianne greatly.Screenshot-7684Obviously there were less competitive activities Adrianne and I enjoyed participating in whenever we had a moment alone, particularly in the hot tub.Screenshot-7698Screenshot-7697Like most people, I also needed my alone time every now and again.  Again, the hot tub was a perfect place to get away from everyone and relax.Screenshot-7703A few months of studying, socializing and romancing later, the final results were in.  My hands were shaking as I unfolded the sheet of paper that would determine my fate.  I was convinced I had only scraped a 3rd class degree at best.Screenshot-7781However, when my eyes scanned across the words, my heart skipped a beat.  Somehow I had snagged myself an upper 2nd class degree (Aka. a 2:1).Screenshot-7782Naturally Adrianne had done well too, although, annoyingly, she was only a few marks of obtaining a 1st class degree.Screenshot-7795Our graduation ended up being held on one of the snowiest days of the year, and although I was too stoked to care about frost bite.Screenshot-7810I was so proud to receive my diploma, as was Adrianne.Screenshot-7817Screenshot-7816We celebrated in style, savoring the limited time we had left at University before we had to head home and find proper jobs.Screenshot-7676To be honest though, I didn’t mind the prospect of growing up and getting old.  With Adrianne and my crazy family around, I knew I could still have fun along the way.

Chapter 6.11

Chapter 6.11 Poor Pencil

It was not long before Cointreau and Jeffery started to get wrinkles and all that jazz.  Still, Cointreau had ways to keep the passion going between them.

‘Honey, I’m not working today…’ Jeffery muttered, adverting eye contact with his wife.

‘I don’t care.  Put it on or I’ll poison one of our children.’Screenshot-7042Cointreau sure did know how to blackmail her husband into wearing his medical career uniform, purely for her own pleasure.  This was pretty much an everyday occurrence, much to the dismay of everyone else in the family.Screenshot-7044Twix masked out his parents’ strange fetishes by focusing on the things he loved the most, which included making potions and, more recently, camp night-time gardening.Screenshot-7116Screenshot-7158Screenshot-7159Since he was the only genius child (at this point of the legacy), his other siblings often turned to him for advice.

‘So, I’ve got a bit of a pain in my thigh, and I can’t find my pencil… Any thoughts?’Screenshot-7220Screenshot-7218‘Twix, I think she has…’Screenshot-7021 ‘Err, can’t say I can see anything wrong.  Looks fine to me.’Screenshot-7215Soon enough, it was Aero’s birthday and he was about to celebrate his glorious transition into young adult-hood; one stage closer to death effectively.Screenshot-7057‘Perhaps I’ll gain a useful trait,’ Aero thought.Screenshot-7051Unfortunately, this was not the case.Aero Good TraitScreenshot-7086A few days later, the family threw a pool party for Hershey’s birthday.  Here are two unnecessary half-naked shots of Aero and Twix relaxing on pool floats.Screenshot-7089Screenshot-7092All in all this was a grand day since there was cake involved.Screenshot-7108And Hershey was obviously excited about becoming a teenager since he would be allowed to tamper with more dangerous stuff on his workbench.Screenshot-7109Despite receiving bushy eyebrows, Hershey did not look too shabby, although due to constantly peering at his reflection in the scrap metal he had collected over the years, he grew up to become a bit of a snob.Screenshot-7118Sadly, Hershey’s thirteenth birthday was not a great experience for Yorkie.  Somehow, a larger dog had gatecrashed the party and decided to steal Yorkie’s stuff.Screenshot-7097Yorkie would have done something about it, but as the dog was more than double his size he decided it would be best not to try and be a hero.  That, and he was certain the other dog had drunk one too many vodkas.Screenshot-7098The months continued to fly by, and soon enough it was time for Aero to graduate from sixth form college.Screenshot-7122He decided to drive his siblings to the town hall for his graduation ceremony.  Cointreau and Jefferey insisted they would make they own way there purely based on the fact that Aero did not have an actual driver’s licence.  Screenshot-7126Bounty was secretly a little bit jealous of her brother’s mortar board hat and hoped that the one she would wear on her graduation would look just as good on her.Screenshot-7129By around nightfall, Aero finally managed to leave the graduation hall with his diploma despite he was hungry, exhausted and desperate for the toilet.Screenshot-7137The following morning he started the fairly simple University entrance procedure, where upon he was informed he would have to increase his skills to gain the maximum amount of free credits for his chosen degree.Screenshot-7164Poor Admiral the gnome was devastated about the prospect of the first of the children heading off to University because he knew this would mean Aero would get a taste for alcohol, thus jeopardizing Admiral’s steadily growing wine collection.  This was a very sad time for him indeed.Screenshot-7154

Franny Pie (Part 2)

Franny Pie (Part 2)

I didn’t expect much to happen after returning to University after the Christmas break.  We were getting a new room mate to replace Riley Woods who had been hospitalized with a severe case of food poisoning.  Still, I expected this person to be as boring as Riley had been.Screenshot-5728How wrong I was.  And, to top it all off, he was cute.  I had to be the first person he saw when he walked in to, didn’t I?Screenshot-5730‘Hey, I’m Jerry, the new guy,’ he introduced, whilst I just stood there like a lemon staring at his vibrant blue eyes.Screenshot-5731Screenshot-5737‘Err, I’m guessing you’re the weird housemate I’ll have to avoid?’ Jerry said after an awkward silence had elapsed.Screenshot-5735Instantly I snapped out of my trance.

‘Crap, no, I’m sorry!’ I said, placing a hand against my chest, whilst I dug around in my mind for an explanation which wouldn’t sound too stalker creepy-like.  Hot panic burnt against my skin as I wrestled with the right words, then he stepped towards me, eyes clouded with concern.Screenshot-5734‘No, I’m sorry,’ Jerry spoke, his voice softening, ‘I tend to put my foot in it and times and… I hope I haven’t offended you.’

When he placed his hand on my shoulder, I felt my heart flutter against my chest.

‘No, not at all,’ I replied, briefly tapping my hand against his waist.Screenshot-5741Jerry shut his eyes and breathed a small sigh of relief.  Likewise a weight from my shoulders had been lifted.  Thank the heavens this guy was neither an arse or a smooth talker.Screenshot-5739Despite we had almost got off on the wrong foot, it wasn’t long before Jerry and I became firm friends. He was quite the enthusiast, particularly when it came to music and arts.  It was a surprise when I found out he was studying business, just like Cointreau, although the modules he had picked differed to hers so they didn’t share many classes together.Screenshot-5828He was a talented bassist though, and we started to jamming together whenever we could.Screenshot-5826I didn’t want to admit it, but I was slowly falling for him.Screenshot-5827Of course I told Cointreau, she was my sister after all… and Earl was too busy frolicking around with Tiff and studying for his final exams.  I expected Cointreau to deter me from asking Jerry out, after all, she had never approved of Earl dating Tiff, or any of the other guys I had been on dates with, but I just wanted her to know how much Jerry meant to me.Screenshot-5812‘Jerry’s an alright guy,’ Cointreau said, ‘I know he wouldn’t do anything which would make me want to snap his neck, so you’ve got my seal of approval.’Screenshot-5809That was all the encouragement I needed.  Mustering my courage up that afternoon, I poured my heart out to Jerry and a look of relief gradually washed across his face.Screenshot-5822‘There’s me all worried that I’d been friend-zoned,’ Jerry said, a warm inflection to his words.  ‘I feel the same way too.’Screenshot-5821As his hand reached up to stroke my cheek I grabbed hold of his arm and pulled him in for a much anticipated kiss.Screenshot-5824Screenshot-5818A month or so later, we were inseparable.    Screenshot-5902 Screenshot-5903Graduation day only came too quickly, but in all honesty I was eager to start the next chapter in life with Jerry by my side.Screenshot-5893My only true concerned rested with my twin, Cointreau.  Although, on the outside, she appeared to be sweet and innocent, Evil had always rued her somewhat ever since we were little and I was terrified that one day it would consume her completely.Screenshot-5876
