Chapter 5.1 – Sorry for the wait!
After what felt like a really long time, the triplets returned home from University after graduating with first class degrees, and a very smug Jameson was offered the role of heir for the next generation. Not by Coco, of course, but by the general public. She was not too thrilled with this news, but since she was growing old and hagged, no one particularly cared. And soon she would realise that no amount of spa treatments would revive her once youthful complexion. A few months later, Murphy decided it was about time to pop the question to his long-term girlfriend, Margaret Cade. She had been living with the family pretty much since he had graduated from University after all.The answer was an obvious yes. And perhaps Murphy got a little bit too excited about this. Not that it mattered because he was awesome and deserved happiness. Unlike a certain somebody…Tremayne, who had been lurking by the kitchen doorway, spying on the couple, was the first to congratulate them. By them, I mean just Margaret because Murphy had gone upstairs to take a shower. This resulted in Margaret Cade bursting into tears, sobbing, ‘Why does he never leave me alone?’ This made Tremayne… or rather Tremayne’s programming instructed him to feel sad about this, and for the umpteenth time in his life he contemplated suicide. Murphy and Margaret held their wedding that very summer, just a couple of months after getting engaged. By this point the Baileys had a ridiculous amount of money, so throwing money away to a couple who would be moving out to become forgotten about was no big issue anymore.Jameson volunteered to be the entertainment at the party, showing off his “pro” torch and sword skills, like it was 1999. Sadly, the wedding guests weren’t too impressed, but that was mainly because they would have preferred a magician called Magic Mike, who all the cool kids during that time were hiring for their weddings.Arguably, Murphy became a little bit over emotional during the wedding ceremony and started cooing about how much he loved his “sweet dovey-wove.”‘Please, shut up,’ Hayley sighed to her nephew. Her hair had recently started to turn grey, and, unlike her twin sister Coco, she was proudly embracing it. Taking Hayley’s wise advice, Murphy kissed the bride and was then officially married (because that’s how things work- obviously no paperwork is involved with these things).Oh, and as for Mew the cat, she got taken away by the RSPCA because she was accidentally neglected. That’s why there was no mention of her in this chapter up until now.Ta ta!(Just for the record, Mew was adopted by Murphy shortly after he left the Bailey household with Margaret and moved in with Hayley and her son, so all was well).
